PP122 Magnetic Resonance-guided High-intensity Focused Ultrasound For Non-surgical Treatment Of Prostate Cancer, Uterine Fibroids, Adenomyosis And Pain In Bone Metastases

Introduction Magnetic resonance imaging guided high-intensity focused ultrasound (MR-HIFU) is a non-invasive technique with low risk of complications for the patient and few side effects. Integration MRI allows monitoring temperature regime thermal doses, which protects important structures from overheating, at same time directing high dose to target tissue. MR-HIFU in treatment uterine fibroids, prostate cancer pain bone metastases compared both traditional methods (uterine artery embolization, hysterectomy, prostatectomy, etc.). Methods To assess clinical effectiveness safety MR-HIFU, literature search was performed MEDLINE database using following keywords:“MRgFUS” “MR-HIFU”. The filters were used: (i) article type: meta-analysis, systematic review, guidance; (ii) date publication: no later than 5 years (from 2016). Results According terms, 104 publications submitted keywords.
